    Gluing down indoor carpet calls for a thin, even film of adhesive, not a thick bed. This Homax spreader is 8 inches wide with fine 1/8 inch notches, sized for that job. You comb the glue out across the floor, and the notches leave ridges of the same height on every pass.

    It is made of yellow high impact polystyrene, light enough to hold for a whole room and tough enough to clean and use again.
